Today, we will tell you about the trends in architecture and construction for this year. However, most of them are very current ideas that have been trending for a while, and they will keep trending, so you can still use them in your home without a doubt. An essential point for trends in the house is to consider what you like, how the items are going to make your life easier and fit in your daily life. Since the pandemic has transformed our way to live and work and has forced us to be at home more often, make your place more special than it was before. It’s time to reconnect with your house and make it more stylish and fashionable!

1)Smart Home

The automated systems are on an upward trend in buildings and houses, and they are in high demand to control temperature, security, and light. They are also used in audio systems, TV, internet and even other functions you can set up. The greatest part is that a smart home will reduce the utility bills, and in consequence help the environment.

2)Emphasis on Floors and Walls

It is finally their time! Redesigning floors and walls are becoming more prominent in 2021. Diversity is the word when it comes to materials and options — textures, colors, ceramics that resemble wood, polished cement, and natural stone are some examples.

3)The Bathroom is the New Spa

This is one of the trends we’re really appreciating and having fun with. There’s nothing better than having your own bathroom with spa vibes. Can you imagine that? The bathroom turns into a relaxation area thanks to the trends that bring more nature to the space — utilizing bamboo, natural stones in cabinets, plants all around, and clean colors like grey, beige, and pastel tones.

4)Open Spaces

Open spaces have been a trend for a while now. By connecting spaces, you will improve the way to use these areas, will enjoy more square footage, and you will have a very practical space for the whole family. Another advantage is that the luminosity flows from one room to another.  One of the most common examples is to integrate the kitchen with the living room, check out our post “Pros and Cons of an Open-Plan Kitchen” to know more about this.

These are the trends the market has put out, but remember to make your home as comfortable as you want. Always change what you need to create a better environment and make functional spaces for your family.
